Posts with the Most – Top Blog Posts Feb 2011

by Larry Hehn on March 1, 2011

postsCan you believe it? Another month has flown by! I hope you all had an amazing February, and wish you many blessings in the month ahead.

It’s time once again for Posts with the Most!

Selected from dozens of my favorite blogs, here are (in random order) my pick of top blog posts for February 2011:

  1. You probably wouldn’t like my small group by Ben Reed of Life & Theology. Ever considered what you’d like in a small group? Check out Ben’s and see what you think!
  2. Your Big Moment by Bryan Allain. An enlightening look at Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers.
  3. The Giving Tree I’d like to read – the charming Katdish puts her own spin on Shel Silverstein’s classic book The Giving Tree. Brace yourself…
  4. The “Real” Magic of Motherhood – fellow Canadian Ironic Mom discovers that her twins really do listen after all.
  5. Not Getting Offended? Well, That’s Offensive – Brant Hansen shares some great thoughts on…well…getting offended.
  6. The Gospel According to Football – more Canadian content from Elizabeth Birak, a lady who knows a thing or two about football!
  7. Afflictions Eclipsed By Glory – Tony J. Alicea’s blog is called Expect the Exceptional, and you certainly can when you read his amazing testimony.
  8. The best conversation I never had – Sometimes you don’t need any words at all to make a connection. A gem by Billy Coffey.
  9. Waiting on the fixing – Another winner from Billy Coffey about patience. Well worth the read!
  10. The bucket (of rocks) list – A repost by Katdish that shows her softer, not-so-snarky side (love ya, Katdish!). A moving story about forgiveness.

It was hard work, and a lot of fun narrowing this month’s Posts with the Most down to ten. If your favorite blog post didn’t make this list, please include it with a link in the comments below!

My pleasure, Leanne. I’ve enjoyed following the posts about your trip to Oprah’s After Oscar Party. I was hoping you’d get a chance to sit on Colin Firth’s lap, but at least you came close!

Thanks, Tony. I thought of your first video post while I was doing mine – thinking I should follow your lead and do a post on how to pronounce my last name! Your testimony post was inspirational.

Wow. Two mentions. Thanks so much. I need to clarify that The Bucket (of rocks) List was written by my friend and pastor Jeff Hogan, and while I do on occasion write a serious post, my most popular posts last month (based on comments, because I never check my analytics) were My Secret Shame http://katdish.net/2011/02/my-secret-shame/ and One Word Wednesday: Swagger http://katdish.net/2011/02/one-word-wednesday-swagger/

Proving that the more ridiculous the post, the more popular. For me, anyway.

Those two were great posts as well.
I always said, katdish’s blog is like a box of chocolates…

I like this idea, Larry! I’ve been thinking about doing an end of week list of “must read, see, hear” etc. But, end of month sounds a bit more doable. Maybe I’ll try it. 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration!

You’re welcome, Keri! Assembling a collection like this is a lot of work. I can’t imagine doing it weekly. But monthly is well worth the effort. I hope this forum helps get the word out about some of the amazing bloggers we have in our community. I’m looking forward to seeing your lists!

Good list–I’ve look at a few of them and will try to check out some of the rest. Two of my posts that received the most love were Looking Older (http://wp.me/p52ry-jF) and I Love Rob Bell (http://wp.me/p52ry-kr).

I agree. After reading it again, I’m not sure how I missed adding Matt’s Rob Bell post to this month’s list.
So, to add a bit of Spinal Tap flair to this feature, I’d like to officially announce that this month’s list goes to 11.
Congratulations, Matt. Your Rob Bell post is definitely Post with the Most material. Thanks for sharing!
