Have you ever had a stretch where you just feel unusually blessed?
I’ve been going through one of those lately.
Last Saturday night my employer held a party for employees and their guests, with hundreds in attendance. One of the door prizes was two round trip tickets to anywhere in North America that Air Canada flies.
I was very surprised to hear them call my name as the winner!
Right away people started asking, “Where will you go?”
And after thinking about it for a while, we’ll likely be using one of those tickets to send my wife to visit her sister in the spring, and the other to bring my daughter home for a week in the summer.
Neither one of those trips were part of our budget this year. I’m so grateful that we now have that opportunity!
Though the tickets presented all sorts of vacation possibilities for my wife and me to enjoy as a couple, we couldn’t pass up the chance to connect with family.
If you won two round trip airplane tickets to anywhere in North America, how would you use them?

Congrats, Larry! I love what you’re doing with the tickets. I hate to fly, so I would probably let someone have my ticket.

Good call, Suzanne. Thanks!
Those are great uses! Brett and I would probably fly to Manitoba to see his very good friend, whom we have not seen in two years. He now has a little one, so we really want to go out and meet him
Wow, the time has flown by. It would be great to see a reunion between those two!
Yes, nothing beats reconnecting with family, especially when it’s “just because.” If I won…maybe I’d head to NYC or San Fran or New Orleans…

I guess you wouldn’t fly to Pittsburgh. sigh… I was going to say Calgary.

Ha. Florida is warmer. Maybe I’ll go there…
Or…we can house swap!

I like driving to Pittsburgh, as long as I can avoid all the deer along the way. Entering through the Fort Pitt Tunnel rocks! But I guess it is a fair hike from Calgary. Maybe we could talk Colin Firth into coming to PA, eh Clay?
I would likely use them for two trips to visit my parents in Pennsylvania.
Once in the summer so I could see the Phillies.
Once in the fall to see the Eagles and Flyers.

You multitasker, you! I like the way you think, Jason.
That is so awesome – congrats! If i saw two tickets anywhere in North America, I would probably use them separately and have two trips back home – one in the summer and one at Christmas. Now, if it were anywhere in the world, my choice would be difficult. I want to go back to Melbourne (Australia), but there are several other countries I’d like to visit as well.

Ooh yeah, there are so many potential destinations. It’s hard to choose!
Way cool! I would let my wife and one of our daughters visit her Grandmother in Denver.

Very cool Larry!
I would fly to California to enjoy some sunshine.

Ah, one of the very few drawbacks of living in beautiful British Columbia. Hope you get some more sun soon, Kevin!
I have family all over the U.S., so I would probably visit my favorite aunt in Greenville, SC. Or better yet send her one of the tickets and we could meet somewhere fun like New York City.

Sounds like a great plan, Keri!
I would probably use them to fly up and see my younger brother in college in Wisconsin. My wife and I have always wanted to go visit him up there…
